Introduction
About the name of University of National Union: Humans worldwide are eligible
to have the right to study whether your skin colour is black or white, poor
and rich, different religions; the meaning of ¡§National Union¡¨ is that all the
nations are at the World of Brotherhood without any discrimination.
Our University badge is made of a Shield with a Cross and a black Flying lion
with wings on the middle, and thus a symbol of Shield means Education which
can provide ¡§Protection and Security¡¨; Flying Lion shows the characteristics
of Lion - ¡§Prowess and Brave¡¨, it also leads to the actual meaning of
¡§Determination of study¡¨ and the lion¡¦s wings shows the meaning of
¡§Breakthrough of the Life; A symmetrical rectangle outline presents our
mission ¡§All are equal in the World¡¨. We are proud to adopt the motto
¡§Continuing Education is the Key to success¡¨.
Our history can be traced back to 1996 and founded by an international group
of Educators and Specialists. A new generation has evolved in 2005, we renamed
our institution to a permanent title ¡§University of National Union¡¨; we also
reorganized and modified our strategy globally, especially the region of Asia
Pacific including Greater China - Provide flexible programs with Chinese
version, setup a branch for Asia Pacific region. A new research centre named
¡§Arts and Cultures of Ancient China¡¨ has setup independently to research, to
analyze, and to investigate different topics of Chinese Culture with 5000
years of history. We also develop a channel to research and study disciplines
and fields other than traditional ones, such as Alternative Medicine,
Cosmetology and Naturopathy.
University of National Union is a non-traditional institution whose mission is
to provide global, innovative and flexible educational opportunities, allowing
adult students anywhere in the world to work towards and be awarded with
academic degrees by flexible routes and pathway. University of National Union
recognizes that higher educational goals and needs of adults, especially the
accomplished professionals, are different from those of high school leavers.
In addition, mature student is usually a self-directed or autonomous learner
who is well-motivated, has a relevant background, possesses considerable
knowledge and is able to contribute significantly to the design of his or her
own studies online or distance learning mode through our ¡§High Technology
Networks (HTN)¡¨. Most of our centers will provide classroom teaching and
tutorial for specified programs, as some programs cannot be 100% on online due
to a lot of practicum and practices. We would also like to provide
opportunities to individuals for their career enhancement and personal
development, by working closely with International education institutions,
partners and professional bodies, providing high quality learning programs in
specialized areas, from Certificate to Graduate program.

UNESCO-Manifesto 2000 Mission
Non-violence is a holistic theory and practice that rejects aggression and
violence. In this sense a statement on violence was made in 1986, in the
framework of an international conference celebrated in Seville, Spain. The
Seville Statement on violence is a scientific statement which says peace is
possible, because war is not a biological necessity. The statement, written by
an international team of specialists, was adopted by UNESCO in 1989 in order to
achieve goals or conflicts in a constructive way. We are aiming at being a part
of the Manifesto 2000.
Multi-Language System
Most programs of University of National Union allow students to select their own
language - English, Simplify and Traditional Chinese. Of course, some programs
can offer only one language media, Chinese can be offered in programs like Feng
Shui (Chinese Environmental studies) and/or Study of Yi (Yin and Yang Studies)
only; we are developing programs with French and Spanish in the near future to
ease the language barrier for the market of Caribbean Region, Latin and South
American, European countries and African countries.
Wide range of Programs
University of National Union provides full range of programs - Certificates,
Diplomas, Degree from Bachelor to Doctorate Levels, special tailor made programs
to fit the academic requirement on any Disciplines and Cultural needs. Most of
our flexible programs are completely online and mailing at students¡¦ own pace to
shorten and save both time and financial expenses. Students may graduate within
a few months to several years depending on their planning and study strategy.
University of National Union encourages the study and investigation of
mainstream and unconventional subjects, in accordance with the principles of
holistic education. Interdisciplinary study and research by both study and
faculty within a holistic paradigm is also encouraged. Diversification of mentor
responsibilities over different fields allows the University to offer a broad
range of interdisciplinary and independent studies, and allows students to
propose their own majors, subject to approval and availability of suitable
mentors.
Future Development
In the coming years, we are looking for cooperation with our international
partners throughout the World to enhance our collaboration strategy with
international professional bodies. Of course, we will increase the portion of
our market shares in Greater China.
